Workmanship Guarantee

Transform UK Developments LTD guarantees uPVC windows and door frames against failure of welded joints and distortion, in line with the system supplier’s recommendations, for a period of up to 10 years from the commencement date or installation date.

Glass sealed units are guaranteed for up to 5 years from the commencement date against failure of the hermetical seal, such as misting or condensation forming between the panes.

Locking mechanisms, hinges, and all metallic moving parts are guaranteed for 1 year, subject to regular maintenance by the customer.

Cosmetic deterioration to handles, letter plates, door furniture, and similar fittings caused by general wear and tear is not covered by this guarantee.

This guarantee does not cover the elimination of condensation.

Glass breakage after installation is complete is not covered. Any damage or scratches to glass must be reported within 24 hours of installation to be considered under this guarantee.

Roofing and building works are guaranteed for 10 years, subject to an inspection by Transform UK Developments LTD to assess any remedial works required. Storm damage, third-party damage, and damage caused by neighbouring properties are not covered.

All guarantees are provided in good faith. However, if, following a visit by a company representative, it is deemed that any product or workmanship has been misused, tampered with, neglected, or damaged in any way, the guarantee will become null and void. Any remedial works required in these circumstances will be carried out at a pre-agreed fee, payable in full before work begins.

This guarantee is transferable to a new property owner for an administration charge of £50 + VAT.

All goods remain the property of Transform UK Developments LTD until payment has been received in full and cleared through the banking process.

Where remedial works are carried out under this guarantee, Transform UK Developments LTD will determine whether repair or replacement of the affected works is the most appropriate solution.

The customer may benefit from any applicable manufacturer’s guarantee relating to materials used. Details of any manufacturer’s guarantee should be requested from Transform UK Developments LTD upon completion of the contract.

This guarantee does not transfer the manufacturer’s guarantee. However, it does cover workmanship defects for 2 years and breaches of building regulations for 6 years, where applicable.

Complaints Procedure

At Transform UK Developments LTD, we aim to provide a first-class service to every customer. However, we understand there may be occasions where you are not fully satisfied with the service you have received.

If you have a query, suggestion, or complaint, please follow the steps below:

  1. Speak to us first
    In the first instance, please contact a member of our team. We will do our best to resolve the matter directly or put you in touch with the right person who can help. You can contact us using any of the contact details provided at the top of this document.

  2. Written complaints
    If you submit your complaint by email or post, we will aim to acknowledge receipt within 10 working days.

  3. Full response
    We will aim to provide a full response to your complaint within 21 working days of receiving it. If we are unable to respond fully within this timeframe, we will keep you updated on the progress of our investigation.

  4. Resolving the issue
    We will always try to put things right as quickly and fairly as possible. However, if you are not satisfied with how your complaint has been handled, you may choose to take the matter further.

  5. Independent review
    If you remain dissatisfied after completing all stages of our internal complaints procedure, you may refer your complaint to the Competent Person Scheme of which we are a member. They will carry out an independent investigation.
